ODAX EDA Research Sensor Kit - White

Research-grade EDA/GSR kit with an enclosed ODAX EDA Research Sensor Board, white Ag/AgCl contact straps, snap leads, and a simple 3.5 mm TRS analog interface.
Overview
The ODAX EDA Research Sensor Kit - White is a complete, research-oriented starting point for electrodermal activity (EDA) and galvanic skin response (GSR) acquisition.
Built around the ODAX EDA Research Sensor Board, the kit combines a precision analog front end with an enclosure, a pair of reusable white Ag/AgCl finger contact straps, matching snap leads, and an easy three-contact output connection. Connect the sensor to a high-impedance ADC or DAQ input through a standard 3.5 mm TRS plug carrying VOUT, 3–5 V input power, and GND.
SKU / MPN: ODAX-EDA-RK1-100-WHT-R1
Enclosure note: The enclosure has no brand or other exterior markings. It can be disassembled and the circuit board removed, allowing the enclosure to be repurposed.
This kit is intended for research, prototyping, evaluation, psychophysiology, HCI, affective computing, biofeedback, and custom data-acquisition workflows. It is not a medical device and is not intended for diagnosis, monitoring, treatment, or safety-critical use.

The Research-Grade Circuit Inside
The circuit uses carefully selected analog components and layout techniques for stable small-current measurement:
- Low-leakage LMP7721 transimpedance-amplifier core
- Guarded sensitive-node PCB layout for improved high-impedance behavior
- Buffered reference and excitation rails with nominal 0.5 V differential excitation
- Buffered, zero-based, ground-referenced
VOUT - Positive response direction: higher conductance produces higher
VOUT - Approximately 6.75 Hz low-frequency bandwidth for slow EDA/GSR dynamics
See the research board product page for its complete technical details.
Simple 3.5 mm Analog Interface
The kit exposes the three connections needed by an ADC or DAQ system on one standard 3.5 mm TRS plug:
| TRS contact | Signal | Function |
|---|---|---|
| Tip | VOUT | Zero-based, ground-referenced analog EDA/GSR output; connect to a high-impedance ADC or DAQ input |
| Ring | VIN / power | 3.0–5.0 V DC input; 3.3 V typical |
| Sleeve | GND | Common reference shared with the ADC or DAQ system |
Important: Although the connector has the familiar 3.5 mm audio form factor, it carries sensor power and signal. Do not connect it to headphones or audio equipment.
Use a clean battery-powered or properly isolated low-noise supply while the contact straps touch skin. If the sensor is powered at 5 V and the receiving ADC accepts only 3.3 V, use appropriately reviewed input scaling or protection.
Why Choose the Research Kit
- Packages the research board, enclosure, leads, and two white contact straps into one ready-to-integrate system
- Avoids handling or mounting the bare circuit board during early experiments
- Makes
VOUT, 3–5 V input power, andGNDavailable through one common connector - Supports high-impedance microcontroller ADCs and laboratory DAQ inputs
- Includes documented connection, signal-conversion, saturation, and safety guidance
- Provides the research-board analog performance in a convenient kit format
Getting Started
- With power off, connect the TRS tip, ring, and sleeve exactly as described above.
- Connect the electrode lead set to the sensor enclosure.
- Snap the two leads onto the white contact straps and place them on adjacent fingers of the same hand.
- Apply clean, isolated 3–5 V power and allow the signal to settle.
- Acquire
VOUTwith a high-impedance ADC or DAQ input and record the acquisition and processing settings.
